Workplace Charging

Getting your fleet ready for action at all times

Improving electric vehicle adoption amongst employees isn’t always easy, with drivers unsure of the new technology, as well as having concerns about range and where to charge.

But drivers are more likely to choose an electric vehicle if they can charge during the day while at work, so getting the right infrastructure in place can significantly boost EV adoption.

Charging considerations for your business

A grant of up to £350 per socket (up to 40 sockets) is available from the government’s Workplace Charging Scheme.

Free charging for employees means no Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax implications, as electricity isn’t the same as vehicle fuel provision.

If vehicles are mainly parked up for the day, 7kW or 11kW AC chargers are an ideal and cost-effective solution.

DC rapid chargers, offering 50kW+, are a great option for those needing a quicker turnaround.
