The Ateca is SEAT’s first venture into the SUV sector and reaction so far suggests it’s going to be a big hit.

A combination of stylish design, practicality, great economy and driver assistance systems puts Ateca in pole position to challenge the Nissan Qashqai.

This fantastic new model is now available from a very competitive £199 +VAT per month. It also promises strong residual values, making it an even better option for fleets.

Don’t forget that Volkswagen Financial Services | Fleet (VWFS | Fleet) has a special relationship with SEAT: we’re part of the same global family of companies. We’re confident we can work with SEAT to supply your fleet’s needs. Talk to your sales or account manager for a quote.

Stunning design and features

The Ateca features stunning design and dynamics, combined with quality and practicality, making it a great choice for fleet drivers.

At the international unveiling in March, Luca de Meo, President of SEAT SA, said: “Our first SUV marks the start of a new era for SEAT. The Ateca is a clear development of the Leon DNA and will drive forward the success of the range. SEAT is a brand on the move.”

Reaction from the press has been good. Business Car said: “SEAT’s first SUV leaps straight to the top in terms of costs and ability.” The magazine praised the new model, calling it: “stylish, practical, well-made” and “full of kit, with a decent range of engines.”

What Car? said: “One of the Ateca’s killer features is its boot capacity. This is rated at 510 litres… which is 80 litres greater than its chief rival, the Nissan Qashqai.”

A wide range of versions is available. The choice of powerful petrol and diesel engines spans 115 to 190PS, with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive (the latter with diesel engines only in the UK), not to mention manual or dual-clutch DSG transmissions.

“Under the bonnet, all the engines make a fine business case,” said Business Car, “from the pint-sized 115PS 1.0-litre turbo petrol that averages 54mpg, to the powerful 190PS all-wheel drive 2.0-litre diesel that still only emits 131g/km. Best for fleet is the 115PS 1.6-litre diesel that returns 65.7mpg while emitting 114g/km of CO2.”

There’s an extensive array of technology options, from full-LED headlamps to assistance systems, including some of the latest new systems such as Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist, and state-of-the-art infotainment systems with eight-inch touchscreens and Full Link connectivity. There are three trims available and a vast array of colours and top-quality materials to suit every taste.

Business Car added: “As far as kit count goes, again, the SEAT excels beside its rivals, with all models having autonomous emergency braking and, on average, higher equipment levels than the likes of the Nissan Qashqai.”
